| This jar is characteristic of Nampeyo’s more elaborate designs, featuring stylized feathers in black as separating devices dividing the jar into four equal panels. Located through out the design are rain, cloud and macaw symbols, together meaning summer and plentiful crops. Lot is accompanied by letter by Barton Wright and photo of Old Lady Nampeyo. |
