When the Alamo fell in 1836, General Antonio López de Santa Anna spared a few of the inhabitants from death. These included Suzanne Dickinson, And her infant daughter Angelina. Suzanne Dickinson is also known as Susana, Susannah and Dickenson; she was illiterate.
