The art career of Robert Doares began decades ago in New York City. He studied at the Grand Central School of Art. Entering the military in 1941, his duties included painting murals, illustrating training aids, and teaching art. After World War II, Mr. Doares did story illustrations for such publications as Outdoor Life, Doubleday, and Harpers. He has illustrated dozens of Christian books. Robert Doares entered the field of fine arts in 1969 and had had his work shown in such places as the Coliseum in New York and the New Jersey Masters show at The Heritage Gallery.
