Dennis Ziemienski, painter and a native San Franciscan, he graduated cum laude from the California College of Arts and Crafts. Dennis Ziemienski's paintings have been in many one-man and group exhibitions and have won numerous awards. Ziemienski is known internationally for his work with Time-Life, Levi-Strauss, Rolling Stone, and the New York Times. Ziemienski's poster images include Super Bowl XXIX, Sonoma Salute to the Arts, and the Napa and Mankas Inverness Lodge. Dennis Ziemienski's paintings are featured on many well-known book covers including, Tales of the City by Armisted Maupin; Glitz, Bandits and Freaky Deaky by Elmore Leonard. Dennis Ziemienski was the featured artist for Hemispheres magazine for United Airlines. He was chosen as the 2004 artist for the Annual Wet Paint Event at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. Dennis Ziemienski has taught at the California College of Arts and Crafts and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He has studios in New York and California. Traveling to Europe frequently, Dennis Ziemienski has acquired an affinity for the architecture, lifestyle and light of the Mediterranean. His strong and richly colored images borrow much of their inspiration from early 20th century painting and posters. Source
