Many an early trail drive was halted by Indians demanding a toll for "Wohaws" (cattle) crossing their lands. Rather than endanger many lives, the toll was usually paid -- in fewer cattle than were asked for. These Comanches, not really knowing how to drive cattle and being quite excited with their newly acquired wealth, are driving them off at a mad pace. - Abridged comments by the artist.
