To the unaided eye, this piece appears to be in very good condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals normal fluorescence of the artist's pigments and three small places with inpainting. Two of those are approximately 3 inches from the bottom and 14 inches from the right. The other is approximately 1 inch from the bottom edge and 8 iches from the right. These areas of inpainting are approximately 3/8 inch diameter. The work has been profesionally cleaned and lined recently by Matthew Horowitz of Revive Art Restoration, Santa Fe, NM. The piece is framed in a carved gold frame. The frame is in good condition, showing normal signs of wear. It separating slightly at the interior corners.
