This painting is in very good condition. With the unaided eye there are no issues. Closer inspection under ultraviolet light reveals normal fluorescence of artist's pigments, and no signs of restoration. There is a small area where the varnish had been rubbed away, approximately 2 inches down and 2 inches over in the upper right. This appears to be rubbed away while the varnish was wet as it does not appear abraded. The work would benefit from a cleaning. The varnish is yellowed and uneven. The piece is framed in a rustic brown frame with a linen liner. The frame is in very good condition with normal wear. Verso: inscribed in artist’s hand: Six Horse Hitch George Dick. Attached is a receipt for the purchase in 1984.
Signed l/r: George Dick
