To the unaided eye, the piece appears to be in very good condition. Closer inspection under ultraviolet light reveals over painting on the mouth of the subject and on the collar of the shirt. Viewed with slight magnification, the over painting on the mouth shows very fine crazing. The piece is framed in a gold swan shape moulding with a deep linen scoop liner and a gold inner liner. The frame is in very good condition. Verso: label: Copyright reserved by Fin Mottola artist. “Navajo Man” 16 x 20. Attached is a copy of the receipt for original purchase in 1975 by consignor.
