Lot Condition Report:

I have read this Important Notice and agree to its terms.

To the unaided eye, this piece appears to be in very good condition. There are no signs of damage or restoration to the bronze and the surface finish is consistent and free of corrosion. The piece is mounted to a stained wooden base. The base is in good condition with normal signs of wear. Underside of base: [affixed label] B. Lewin Galleries, Beverly Hills, CA, #2014, Artist: Zuniga, Media: bronze, Size: 11", Title: Sitting Nude,
Inscribed back base: 1974 Zuniga XII/XXVIII. Evelia is a prime example of Zúñiga’s signature sculptures - massive female figures sculpted in onyx or cast in bronze. Throughout his life he visited and revisited this representational figurative narrative of the feminine, never deviating from it. Zúñiga’s art reflects a love and respect for Central American people and traditions. He has been the recipient of numerous international prizes and awards. His work is exhibited throughout the world and can be found in the permanent collections of twenty-nine museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum, the Mexican Museum in San Francisco and the Phoenix Art Museum.
