Acheff’s paintings have a classical simplicity and elegance enhanced by remarkable details and gorgeous surfaces. A two time winner of the Prix de West Purchase Award from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, Oklahoma City, OK, Acheff was featured in a 1999 retrospective at the Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa OK, and exhibits at the Masters of the American West, Autry National Center, Los Angeles, CA where he received the 1998 MAW Purchase Award.
